A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed on Sunday while he was visiting a northern region of the country, according to Iranian state media.
The incident occurred in the city of Tabriz, and Raisi was reportedly uninjured. The other occupants of the helicopter, including his entourage and security personnel, were also reported to be safe.

Raisi was in Tabriz to attend a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. He was scheduled to deliver a speech at the meeting, but it was unclear if he would be able to do so after the helicopter crash.
